QC MANAGER –
ELECTRIC POWER UPGRADES

Offshore Military
Base – No Personal Security Issues
Contract Position – Tax Advantages – Living Expenses
Implements and
manages the Quality Control Program for an Electric Power Upgrade
Project located at a secure offshore military installation.
-
Renewable one-year single status assignment with significant tax
advantages and furnished housing.
-
Reports to the Power Upgrade Program Manager.
-
Responsible for managing the three phases of quality control and
documentation.
-
Ensures equipment and system installation QC testing is performed
to standards and provides QC certification / documentation
packages consistent with contract and applicable specifications
including the ISO 9000/9002 framework.
-
Manages activities performed by a group including a QC Specialist,
testing laboratory personnel, and any other inspection personnel
required by contract
-
Attends QC planning meetings and Project Management scheduling
sessions.
-
Conducts QC review meetings, considers variations from standard,
and develops solutions.
-
Works collaboratively with Project Team members at all levels.
-
Designated competent person for safety as defined by COE EM
385-1-1 pertaining to construction related hazard identification
and safety compliance.
-
Determines training requirements and implements programs.
Skills and
Qualifications:
-
A graduate of a four-year accredited college program in one of the
following disciplines: Engineering, Architecture, Construction
Management, Engineering Technology, Building Construction, or
Building Science.
-
A minimum of five years experience as a superintendent, inspector,
QC Manager, project manager, project engineer, or construction
manager on power-related construction projects.
-
Familiar with construction-related electrical inspection and ISO
9000/9002.
-
Familiar with the requirements of safety spec COE EM 385-1-1
pertaining to construction- related hazard identification and
safety compliance.
-
Preferably will have completed the course entitled "Construction
Quality Management for Contractors".
Special Details:
-
No Federal Tax for income earned on site and no taxes at assigned
location.

Description:
We are
looking for a Japanese national currently living in Japan to assist
our US based international sales team with technical issues with
customers and potential customers throughout the asian market. Based in Japan
(any large city) with frequent travel throughout asia
(esp. Japan/China/Korea)
This
position will be responsible for regular technical interactions with
customers in the Asian Display Market. The Technical Account Manager
will work closely with the sales manager for the territory to insure
that customer technical requirements are well understood and
communicated back into the company and to insure that customers
understand the key features and benefits of the companies display
products. Key responsibilities of this position include,
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
·
Regular interaction with the customer
on technical issues involving display products. This interaction
will be focused on helping the customer use the features and
benefits of the companies display products to the greatest extent
possible.
·
Interact with customers to understand
any new features they might need that the company could provide
either through existing products or by the development of a new
product.
·
Communication of customer needs back.
·
Initial trouble shooting of problems
that come up for existing products. This involves working closely
with the customers and internal resources to make sure that
corrective action is being implemented to correct the problems.
·
Field application support for display
product in
Asia. This involves developing expertise and knowledge in
several manufacturing techniques such as lamination and coating used
to fabricate products into finished parts.
Job
Requirements:
This
position requires a candidate with a minimum BS in Engineering or
related science degree and several years direct experience in either
the display field or thin film optical coating field. Experience
with display manufacturing technologies (LCD, PDP, or CRT) a plus.
Fluency in Japanese required. Spoken and written English
sufficient to deal with internal personnel required. Korean and
Chinese language skills a plus. This job will be based in Japan.
