Objective

In order to create necessary impetus, the Government has announced policies of significant liberalization and privatization ,what  form of technology is appropriate , how is being generated or being acquired, what are the channels of flow, what potentials and hazards exist and what industrial frameworks are available are the question to be addressed to before an overall view of the situation is gathered and a well planned national policy can be formulated, for this purpose selected displays of different cross-sections of technological development were needed to be focused and presentation from various multi disciplinary fields were required to be arranged with this objective the International Technological Exhibition and Seminar was Organized

Mechanics

The organization role was assumed by the Foundation . The Patronizing hands from whomever relevant organization sought, were generously extended, these were :

         I. The  Institutions of engineering Pakistan , Which is long founded nation wide  body of engineers.

       II.  The national Centre of Technology Transfer , Ministry of Sciences and

            Technology, which is the central organization in the government sector on the

            subject of technology transfer and,

      III. The Advisory Centre of Industrialization, Lahore Chamber of commerce and    

            Industry which is the advisory organ of the commerce and industrial activity.

Selection of Displays

At the exhibition selection criterion of displays was made on the following lines keeping in view the overall objective:

• Technical Training centers in joint ventures with foreign countries.
• Research institutions offering R and D facilities
• Marketing Institutions offering marketing of R and D
• Production organization in joint venture with foreign bodies.
• Offers of products new to Pakistan.
